Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the rose 0.44%, while the index gained 0.48%.
The best performers of the session on the were Alstom SA (EPA:), which rose 4.28% or 0.77 points to trade at 18.88 at the close. Meanwhile, Legrand SA (EPA:) added 2.99% or 2.14 points to end at 73.60 and Compagnie de Saint Gobain SA (EPA:) was up 2.80% or 1.11 points to 40.77 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:), which fell 2.68% or 1.72 points to trade at 62.40 at the close. TotalEnergies SE (EPA:) declined 1.64% or 0.87 points to end at 52.12 and Sanofi SA (EPA:) was down 0.50% or 0.41 points to 81.71.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mcphy Energy (EPA:) which rose 16.32% to 13.01, Orpea SA (EPA:) which was up 9.00% to settle at 12.90 and Metropole Television SA (EPA:) which gained 5.45% to close at 10.54.
The worst performers were Virbac SA (EPA:) which was down 4.05% to 272.50 in late trade, CGG SA (EPA:) which lost 3.50% to settle at 0.76 and Eurofins Scientific SE (EPA:) which was down 2.68% to 62.40 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 315 to 226 and 84 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.50% or 8.30 to $1,655.70 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 2.56% or 2.16 to hit $82.37 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.86% or 1.70 to trade at $89.92 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 0.99, while EUR/GBP rose 0.63% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 111.96.
