Investing.com – Germany stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Frankfurt, the gained 1.34%, while the index climbed 2.08%, and the index added 1.40%.
The best performers of the session on the were Zalando SE (ETR:), which rose 6.33% or 2.08 points to trade at 34.92 at the close. Meanwhile, Adidas AG (ETR:) added 5.53% or 6.50 points to end at 124.00 and Vonovia SE (ETR:) was up 5.07% or 1.16 points to 24.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Beiersdorf AG O.N. (ETR:), which fell 0.79% or 0.85 points to trade at 106.60 at the close. Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) declined 0.75% or 0.42 points to end at 55.46 and Bayerische Motoren Werke AG (ETR:) was down 0.50% or 0.42 points to 84.01.
The top performers on the MDAX were Delivery Hero AG (ETR:) which rose 9.33% to 43.73, Aroundtown Property Holdings PLC (ETR:) which was up 6.38% to settle at 2.60 and Tag Immobilien AG (ETR:) which gained 6.15% to close at 6.12.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 2.31% to 124.80 in late trade, Stabilus (ETR:) which lost 1.89% to settle at 62.20 and Rheinmetall AG (ETR:) which was down 1.06% to 196.80 at the close.
The top performers on the TecDAX were Nemetschek AG O.N. (ETR:) which rose 5.73% to 50.58, Infineon Technologies AG NA O.N. (ETR:) which was up 4.56% to settle at 32.57 and Bechtle AG (ETR:) which gained 3.37% to close at 37.09.
The worst performers were Carl Zeiss Meditec AG (ETR:) which was down 2.31% to 124.80 in late trade, Morphosys AG O.N. (ETR:) which lost 1.88% to settle at 15.40 and SMA Solar Technology AG (ETR:) which was down 1.27% to 66.25 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange by 462 to 206 and 91 ended unchanged.
Shares in Porsche Automobil Holding SE (ETR:) fell to 52-week lows; falling 0.75% or 0.42 to 55.46.
The , which measures the implied volatility of DAX options, was down 9.20% to 20.72.
Gold Futures for February delivery was up 1.66% or 29.75 to $1,822.05 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 3.39% or 2.48 to hit $75.65 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 3.59% or 2.80 to trade at $80.79 a barrel.
EUR/USD was up 0.76% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.86.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 1.04% at 103.67.
