Investing.com – France stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the , and sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Paris, the added 0.76% to hit a new 1-month high, while the index climbed 0.78%.
The best performers of the session on the were Dassault Systemes SE (EPA:), which rose 3.47% or 1.19 points to trade at 35.45 at the close. Meanwhile, ArcelorMittal SA (AS:) added 3.17% or 0.70 points to end at 22.78 and Worldline SA (EPA:) was up 3.04% or 1.33 points to 45.03 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pernod Ricard SA (EPA:), which fell 1.17% or 2.10 points to trade at 177.90 at the close. Veolia Environnement VE SA (EPA:) declined 0.84% or 0.18 points to end at 21.25 and AXA SA (EPA:) was down 0.84% or 0.21 points to 24.29.
The top performers on the SBF 120 were Mcphy Energy (EPA:) which rose 8.44% to 14.01, Verallia (EPA:) which was up 6.11% to settle at 26.74 and Orpea SA (EPA:) which gained 5.82% to close at 15.00.
The worst performers were Quadient SA (EPA:) which was down 2.17% to 13.95 in late trade, Casino Guichard Perrachon SA (EPA:) which lost 1.90% to settle at 8.02 and ALD SA (EPA:) which was down 1.86% to 10.54 at the close.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Paris Stock Exchange by 284 to 237 and 106 ended unchanged.
The , which measures the implied volatility of CAC 40 options, was unchanged 0.00% to 18.96 a new 52-week high.
Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.39% or 6.45 to $1,640.65 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.46% or 0.39 to hit $84.91 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.10% or 0.09 to trade at $92.50 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.31% to 0.98, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.02% to 0.87.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.28% at 112.57.
